GLAMGLOW is a brand born in Hollywood. An A-list skincare brand, who say that they can get your skin camera ready fast, with their “magic mud” and other nourishing skincare range.

However, are they a cruelty-free brand? And do they sell their products in China?

Scroll down to find out.

GLAMGLOW's Animal Testing Policy

Their animal testing policy was located on their website in their FAQ section. It was also hidden under the question ‘How does GLAMGLOW conduct product safety testing?‘.

This is their answer:

Consumer safety has always been top priority at GLAMGLOW. Therefore, our product safety review process requires collaboration of experts across several sciences, including toxicology, microbiology, environmental chemistry, manufacturing, and engineering to ensure the safety of all products brought to market by GLAMGLOW.

All GLAMGLOW products are tested for irritants and allergens using biological assays and human volunteers. We do not test our products on animals, nor do we ask others to conduct animal testing on our behalf, except when required by law.

We are proud of GLAMGLOW’s safety record and of our continued commitment to producing quality products.

As their above statement highlights from GLAMGLOW, they are a beauty brand who still choose to sell in countries which do require animal testing by law (i.e. mainland China). Which means GLAMGLOW is NOT a cruelty-free brand.

Is GLAMGLOW Sold in mainland China?

Yes, GLAMGLOW is sold in stores in mainland China, meaning that this brand is NOT cruelty-free.

As they have stated on their website. The brand will allow the authorities to test their products on animals if the law requires them to do so. The Chinese authorities require foreign brands sold in stores in China to allow them to test their products, and even their ingredients, on animals. Which means since GLAMGLOW chooses to sell their products in China, they cannot be considered cruelty-free.
